Bad Beaver Farm is a 400 acre, sustainable tree farm located in Ellsworth, Maine USA. Our pubishing house just released it's first memoire, Lady's Hands, Lion's Heart - a Midwife's Saga, authored by Carol Leonard, NH Certified Midwife. Lady's Hands is Lenord's second book, following The Circle of Life: Thirteen Archetypes for Every Woman co-authored with Elizabeth Davis

About Me

Carol Leonard: Hopkinton, New Hampshire, United States; Carol Leonard, a "foremother of the modern midwifery movement," is a New Hampshire certified midwife who has been practicing for the last three decades. She is co-founder of the Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA), which represents all midwives in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and served one term as its president. Her work to improve maternity care in Moscow, Russia, was featured on 20/20 and was written into the Congressional Record.
